INTRODUCTION

Technology is causing massive disruption in the health and wellness industry. The smartphone’s omnipresence has created a massive market for mobile health apps, wearables, and biometric trackers. Healthcare digital products are gaining popularity. Health apps (also known as mHealth apps) are mobile applications that offer health-related services on smartphones, tablets, and other communication devices.

THE CLIENT

Daily Health Conference: Non-profit promoting health via talks, workshops, and training globally. Est. 1983 in SF, covers various health topics in 100+ languages. Online membership available. Slow tech adoption led to decline in memberships.

CHALLENGE

Daily Health Conference explores tech for healthier living. Organized competition for new mobile app idea to track wellness: diet, fitness, mental health, stress, water, etc. Designers conduct user research, create prototypes, pitch to jury of experts, wining concepts presented and developed into apps.
